Patti's experience in startup schools with innovative programs allows her to ask the right questions to help your team create a program or framework that is unique to your school. Sample work includes the following:
  • Curriculum design using a human-centered approach combined with the frameworks of Universal Design for Learning and Understanding by Design. This approach allows for curriculum work to be done in context (answering the questions teachers know are important) while anticipating and mitigating barriers to learning.
  • Design inclusive language, policies, and practices that are specific to the context of your school
  • Develop age-appropriate lesson content and strategies related to diverse identities and expressions
  • Create a three-part coordinated series with sessions for students, faculty/staff, and parents/guardians related to a theme or big question
